debate on Bill C - 560, An Act to amend the Divorce Act (equal parenting), set for second reading in the House of Commons today.

The signs are that the Catholic Church will at least make its voice heard when the
Bill comes to be
debated in the Commons: but any hope that the
C of E will come up to scratch seems,
on the evidence so far available, dubious to say the least.
Just look at the immigration
bill... Bush is definite
on the moderate side of that
debate and conservatives are torpedoing the whole deal b /
c of the guestworker provisions.
After First Reading was completed,
Bill C - 14 was then tabled for Second Reading and
debated on April 22, 2016.
While
Bill C - 35 is not yet law (passed third reading in the House of Commons and
on March 10, 2011 was at report presentation and
debate stage in the Senate), the Governor in Council launched a public selection process which began in August 2010, to establish a new regulatory body for immigration consultants in Canada.
Bill C - 300, An Act respecting Corporate Accountability for the Activities of Mining, Oil or Gas in Developing Countries, goes into its Third Reading this Fall Session, and is scheduled for its first hour of
debate on the very first day that MPs return to session, September 20, 2010.
