decision was made by an authority exercising jurisdiction
on a matter of personal status or parental responsibility, unless that jurisdiction was based solely
on the nationality of one of the parties.
The grounds under which you file a divorce have no impact
on the court's
decision regarding custody, access and
support of
children.
When
children are part of the disagreement, courts will always make
decisions about custody and
child support based
on the best interests of the
child.
Interim orders in family cases rarely deal with final
decisions on issues of
child custody, parenting time,
child support and spousal
support.
Although agreements as to
child custody,
support and parenting time are not enforceable even if addressed in a settlement agreement, a court gives great weight to joint
decisions on these issues and rarely rules against them.
Depending
on the circumstances, the departure of one or more members of a polyamorous family may result in disagreements about: where
children will live, how parenting
decisions will be made and how much time the
children will have with whom; whether
child support must be paid, and if so who must pay it; whether a person is entitled to spousal
support, and if so who is responsible for paying it; and how property and debt will be distributed, and whether an individual is entitled to an interest in property owned only by other family members.

support to make an informed
