The Sri Lankan government said at the start of this month that it would take a 25 percent stake in the joint venture, in exchange for dedicating radio spectrum to its work.
Breakthrough Listen will be fifty times more sensitive and precise than previous other programs dedicated to the SETI research, it will cover 10 times more sky, and will scan radiospectrum around 100 times faster.
