App support is limited at the moment, for example there is
no default email app installed on the Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition.
For example, I use Microsoft's Outlook app as
my default email app, Microsoft Edge as my default web browser, Cortana as my default voice assistant, and OneDrive for my photos backup solution.
Adding an account to
the default email app is easy enough, though Gmail is the only Western email service included in the quick setup menu — the rest are Chinese accounts that you're unlikely to have signed up with.
However, there's no way to include anything beyond those three apps just yet - Email, Messages and Missed call - and as we use Gmail, not
the default Email app, we aren't receiving alerts via this function.
Most people are going to have an easier time when they can command + tab between half a dozen apps, see as many programs on screen as they want, and have the ability to customize how their computer works, even with something as simple as setting
a default email app.

In about three hours and 45 minutes, the battery dropped from 56 % to zilch; brightness was set to the
default of three - quarters maximum, and the tablet was used just for some light Web browsing,
email, downloading a few

Fire OS 3.0 brings with it «hundreds» of other enhancements, but the most noticeable ones include a new task switcher (which you drag in from the side of the screen), an
app and content grid that you can choose to
default to instead of the carousel, a redesigned Silk browser (based on Google's Chromium) that features improved server - side caching and a new rendering engine, and a rewritten
email client that now includes threaded conversations.
By
default, a child's profile doesn't have access to the Silk browser,
email, contacts, social
apps or the camera.
I simply dictated the memo using the iPhone's
default «notes»
app, then
emailed the note to myself, cut and pasted the text into a Word doc, made a few edits, and sent it on its way.

At stock config, any
email links clicked on or offline will launch using the
default Windows Mail
app, web links will open in Microsoft's new web browser Edge, photos will be routed through the internal Photo Viewer, movies and video files will open in the Video Player
app, and Map requests will automatically route to Bing Maps (from within a new tab of Edge).
Primary among them is the option to select
default apps for web browsing,
email and other tasks, as not everyone wants to use Apple
apps such as Mail and Safari.
You can assign those letters to the
apps of your choice, and by
default «C» opens the Camera in rear - shooting mode, «e» opens
email,»S» opens the Camera in selfie mode, «V» opens Contacts, «W» opens Weather and Z opens Chrome.
This first screen lets you set the most common
app defaults (web browser,
email, music player, etc.), but...
This means the Outlook
app will actually be used when clicking an
email on a webpage, rather than asking to use the
default Gmail
app.
The
email notifications for the Mail
app was turned off by
default for some strange reason on my installation.
Whether you want to get your hands dirty with low - level system tweaks or just make Chrome and Gmail your
default web browser and
email apps, jailbreaing gives you complete access to the underlying system and gives you the power to do these things.
Alongside the Google's stock
apps like Maps, Drive, Photos, Gmail and much more, you'll see LG's
default apps for music,
email,
app store (LG World), backup, remote call and tons of other LG
apps.
Last fall, Microsoft indicated that when you opened an
app such as Mail, the My People you selected would appear among the
default choices for
email recipients.
On Android, the Google Sync feature will also back up contacts,
email, calendar and bookmarks if you're using the
default (or Google made)
apps associated with each of these.
An
email app is installed by
default, and does the job fine, though Gmail is also included — so if you have an account with Google you're better off sticking with that.
The device comes with music, video, Play station, Facebook,
Email, FM Radio,
default Sony applications and all the google related
apps pre-installed.
There is however less redundant
apps than some manufacturers install into their devices, with ASUS not including their own
email, calendar and music player
apps, but using the
default Google ones.
The SmartWatch 2 can receive
email, social network, text message, and calendar notifications via its
default apps, and third - party
apps can send many more types of notifications.
Even if you have a strong preference for other
email and calendar
apps, it's a good idea to set up the
default Mail and Calendar
apps.
There are
default links on the desktop to Notepad, Chrome, Gallery,
Email, and Videos as well as a file manager, and you can open other
apps and work with web
apps via Chrome.
A large list of critical business functions, like
email, messaging and many administration tasks can be performed on the iPad with only its
default apps.
And just maybe, this could open the door to selecting new
default apps for
email, maps, music, and so on.
My other question was my
apps, very basic whatsapp, fb,
email & gmail with
default running services take over 800 - 900 ram.
Coming back to the talk of OS on Yunique, there are no bloatware present on the device except for the
default apps for
email, video, file manager, etc..
Apps supported by this feature include the
default email client, browser, gallery, maps, and video player.

default app launcher, I use the Microsoft Launcher, along with Cortana as my
default assistant, Edge as my
default web browser, Outlook for
email and many more Microsoft
apps for specific things.
Running on Android, directions come in via Google Maps, while everything else comes in via your phone's
default apps for calendar, message and
email notifications.
