The default typeface in Microsoft Word is Times New Roman, and thus it's the default for most résumés.
However, there have been stirrings in this area in Googleland recently, notably with the introduction of the specially designed Literata font as
the default typeface on its Google Play Books app.
New fonts designed for e-reading are all the rage at present, with Amazon launching bespoke slab serif Bookerly and now, surprisingly, Google Play Books springing specially designed Literata as
the default typeface on its app.
The name of the typeface suggests Literata will remain exclusive to Play Books, with the Droid family staying on as
the default typeface for Android and Google apps.
Google Play Books 3.4.5 brings a change that typography aficionados will appreciate: a new
default typeface called Literata.
Not exact matches
The same goes for the
typeface — you can opt for the
default font, or for condensed or sans serif type.
Font Size: press the «Aa» button just right of the space bar, and a menu will come up that allows you to select one of 8 font sizes, three
typefaces («regular,» «condensed,» and my favorite, «sans serif»), line spacing («small,» my favorite «medium,» or «large»), and words per line (which sets the side margins; I use «
default»).

default Kindle font to the new Bookerly, a
typeface that better resembles print books but still works on a screen.
