Could I substitute the medjool dates with
Deglet Noor dates?
Can I also use
Deglet Nour dates instead of Medjool dates?

Made them today with tigernut flour and the dates I happened to have were half medjool and half
deglet nour and it turned out really well; the whole family really enjoyed them The dough was great to work with without any flour for rolling out and didn't stick to anything.
Medjools are really expensive in my region and also hard to find, so would it be okay to use the soft ones
of Deglet Nour?

Deglet Noir dates?
Choose firmer dates such
as Deglet Noor for this dessert, as you don't want them to become mushy in the pudding.

Other dates (
like deglet noor) are drier and not as sweet (in my experience), but if soaked I think they would work fine.

whole Deglet Noor Dates that I pitted and chopped plus some almond milk, coconut milk, banana and ice.
Use medjool dates
not deglet noors for this recipe.
Medjool dates tend to be more moist than
deglet so you may need to add a bit more liquid to get the right consistency so they're not crumbly, but go slow with it so they don't get too sticky

But I don't suggest adding
whole Deglet Noor dates to your blender and taking the manufacturer's word for it that they are «pitted» already.
But caution: They are also the sweetest variety, with twice the sugars and carbs
as deglet dates!

I couldn't find medjool dates at my grocery store so I used
deglet noor dates; my blender nor my food processor could handle them so I took them to the mortar and pestle and smushed them up the old fashioned way, then added the paste to the remaining mixture.
Much, much more tastier than
the Deglet Noor dates that I have been buying at my local Indian grocery store.

Deglet Noor which are very moist.

If you can't get Medjool dates, you can use
Deglet Noor or other dried dates, but you might want to increase the amount.
But you can also use
deglet — they're smaller, but you can soak them a bit if they seem dry.
Deglet dates would be fine, just be sure to blend it up really well so it's still nice and smooth since they are a bit drier.
