Charter Schools Network today sent the following statement in support of the Connecticut families and the non-profit group Students Matter who have filed a federal lawsuit
demanding access to better public
school options.
Parents are
demanding more options, and
access to schools who are succeeding for students, and
charter schools are rewarding that faith.

charter schools are ready
to do our part,
to increase
access for all learners,
to help meet the
demand from parents for excellent
schools.
With nearly 500,000 students enrolled in private
school choice programs and 3.1 million students enrolled in public
charter schools across the country, coupled with the
demand from millions of families wanting these offerings, AFC is committed
to helping as many families as possible
access the education environment that best meets their child's needs.
Charter schools are
demanding access to more pots of funding, including sales tax coffers and federal grants used
to offset the costs of
school food programs, despite the fact that many
