It's centrally located, it's where most people are during the day, but in a way it felt kind
of silly because both the living room and the
den, right
off the
kitchen, have great speakers in them.
Three bedrooms and 1.75 baths along with large family room, large
kitchen including island, large laundry room with surplus
of storage and a small
den area
off of family room.
The
den just
off the beach house's
kitchen and dining space continues with the muted, natural hues and beachy decor, adding a pop
of colour and pattern in the chair fabric.
The former owners bricked the
kitchen and when we wanted to take out the carpet out
of the
den and back hallway, we were able to find the same brick (actually not brick per se but a concrete product made here in Oklahoma) and finished
off the
den & hallway.
Chip and his crew removed two walls to substantially expand the footprint
of a tiny
kitchen and open up sight lines to the living room and formerly closed
off den.
The more I think about it, the more I like the idea
of putting a dining table in the
den and a casual sitting room / play room in the small room
off the
kitchen.
In the meantime, I keep thinking that the
den / playroom could be an ideal dining room, and then you can use all the rest
of that space
off the
kitchen for more
kitchen space.
I have Provence Cream in one room (roughly the shade
of real butter), I have Moonlit in our bedroom (a glowing
off - white with the softest hint
of yellow), I have a golden - yellow textured wall in my
kitchen reminiscent
of Tuscan plaster, and in my new downstairs
den (described in my latest post) the walls are a soft ivory.
