"Dendritic arbors" refers to the branching structures of nerve cells found in the brain. These branches allow nerve cells to receive and process information from other nerve cells.
Full definition
With this technique, a Neuroscientist can see the full
dendritic arbor of a single cell with all its synapses and how it rearranges these synapses in the living brain over time (Villa et al. 2016).
During this analysis, morphological traits of the analysed cells are identified, most importantly
their dendritic arbors, i.e. the filament structures which receive input signals from other neurons.
