For this to work, we need you to text
us descriptions of lost pets, so an owner can check our dashboard and read your text.
If you see an animal that fits
the description of your lost pet, visit the identified Care Center to reclaim your pet.
If you see a pet that matches
the description of your lost pet in either of those areas, contact the Connecticut Humane Society at 800-452-0114 and we will assist you to determine if the pet belongs to you.

They send phone alerts with photos,
descriptions, and details ---- to neighbors, veterinarians, animal shelters, animal control, hospitals,
pet stores and rescue volunteers up to a 100 mile radius
of where your
pet was last seen — whether it's a cat, dog, or any other kind
of lost pet.
Right away, I posted a
description of the pup on Nextdoor (a social media site for neighbors), in Orlando
pet Facebook groups, and in the local «
Lost and Found» and «Pets» sections
of Craigslist.

Have a current photo and
descriptions of your
pets to help others identify them in case they get
lost.
The signs should include a
description of your
pet, where it was
lost, your phone number, and a color picture
of your
pet.
It's also strongly suggested that you take along both a snapshot and a detailed
description of your
pet so you can identify the animal accurately should it get
lost.

Remember to include your contact information, a
description of the animal and the location the
pet was
lost or found near.
If an animal comes to us as a stray, we will hold the animal for 72 hours during which time we will search through various databases for any reports
of lost pets that may fit the
description of that animal.
In 2013, Abigail instituted a program using Austin Animal Control's twitter account @austinanimals to post daily
descriptions / photos
of all animals picked up by animal control to help owners locate
lost pets.
Owners looking for a
lost pet are instructed to look in this book for a
description of their
pet.
Please message us on Facebook and include a photo
of the
pet with a complete
description, including
pet name & size, where (address, city & zip) and when
pet was
lost / found, your name and contact info.
Photos and
descriptions of pets are posted on this website, allowing owners a much better chance
of reuniting with their
lost pets.
You should also check back with CCHS in person every couple
of days as
descriptions can be misrepresenting and many
pets are especially difficult to match up to
lost reports.
Each card provides a brief
description of AnimalKind and explains that a contribution was made by the clinic in memory
of the
lost pet.
