Apparently the Muhle R41 had its
design revamped in recent years to widen the top plate of the
headpiece in order to decrease how much of the blade was exposed, therefore making it less aggressive.
If you take apart the
headpiece you will notice that the corners of the top piece are
designed to keep the blade perfectly aligned in the head.

headpieces work well with my existing birdcage veil
designs, and I've also added a new «mask veil» made from the same soft fine French netting which pins at either side of the head and is a great way to wear a veil with a
