Players in essence can cause large set - pieces to occur by
destroying objective points.

In the standard Capture game mode, teams earn
points by completing tasks such as
destroying enemies in an area, or more interestingly, by capturing
objectives.
As of now, there are three game modes: Capture, which sees two teams fighting over three
objective points, Meltdown, which tasks both teams to help their minions reach an enemy incinerator to score
points, and Incursion, where teams try to
destroy mechs at their opponents base with the help of AI units.
The new game mode is called Frontlines, and the premise is an interesting one: like a game of tug - of - war, you'll need to push through each consecutive
objective (and prevent the enemy team from doing so) in a chain before reaching the enemy HQ
point, at which
point 2 telegraph poles will have to be
destroyed (or defended) a little like Rush.
Finally an
objective card attempts to bring a touch of story into matches by doing things like tagging a specific ship as being worth more
points when
destroyed, while navigation cards reward smart movement.
Your primary goal is to rack up
points by taking out listed
objectives and
destroying everything you can get your mutated mitts on in one of two play modes; story mode or multiplayer mayhem.
Further multiplayer modes that are not present from Infinite Warfare include Search and Rescue which sees both teams take turns to defend and
destroy an
objective with the twist being the recovery of dog tags allowing or preventing respawns; Reinforce sees both teams attempting to capture every
point in order to win the round with an added incentive being placed on players capturing
points to revive fallen teammates; and Gun Game which tasks every player with the
objective of being the first player to score a kill with each of the provided weapons.
As is the case in all hybrid CCG / MOBA games, you're given a deck of cards to deploy on in - game lanes, with the
objective to either capture and hold
points on the map or
destroy the enemy base.
During each mission, Rubi will run into Arena fights with simple
objectives:
destroy the spawn
points, stay alive, and kill everyone.
Objectives: Enter Jabu - Jabu by offering the fish in the bottle, meet Ruto and follow her through the hole, talk to Ruto twice, then carry her, throw Ruto to the opposite ledge and step on the switch, ride the elevator from
point to
point, get the Boomerang, place Ruto on the switch and then throw the Boomerang on the tentacle to earn the map, get the compass,
destroy the tentacle,
destroy another tentacle, take Ruto through a hole, throw Ruto onto a platform; defeat Bigocto; then ride the elevator, throw the boomerang at the platforms, ride the elevator and place a crate on a switch, shoot the uvula.
The other
objectives involve three mines that will randomly spawn across the map, and you'll be tasked with either dismantling them (think control
points) or
destroying them (the much easier task; you just shoot them).
T: FOC revolves around players navigating a number of stages or chapters as either the Autobots or Decepticons, and are required to complete a number of mission
objectives, mostly of the «get from
point A to B» or «defend X area» kind, all the while
destroying enemy transformers that stand in your way.
Your
objective is, of course, to
destroy them all and if possible rescue scattered bystanders for extra
points.
Other updates to the
points system include Assist kills (25
points),
destroying Bots (50
points), Explosive kills (150
points),
objective based
points (e.g. 600
points for completely assassinating the assassination target in Assassination), Double and Triple kills and kill streaks (3, 5, 10, etc.).
The dumb AI isn't an issue because of their numbers and the urgency to keep pushing forward to the next
objective — whether it's capturing a
point,
destroying an ammo dump or assassinating an enemy commander.
