Science in the Public Interest promotes direct dialogue with the government, industry, and the community on critical scientific issues and helps to
develop the next generation of
citizen scientists.
The bill allowed NSF to
develop a new
program to increase the number of U.S.
citizens and permanent residents with undergraduate degrees in
science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
