Nothing makes you look wider like a pair of well built shoulders — especially well
developed side delts.

And that's fine, they are great exercises, but they place the biggest emphasis on the front (anterior) and middle (lateral)
delts and don't fully
develop the shoulders from all
sides, especially the rear (posterior)
delts.
When it comes to effectively targeting the lateral
delts and getting wide on the
sides, nothing beats
side lateral raises — they will strengthen your shoulders and improve their flexibility, sculpt the mass that pressing movements have helped you
develop... and much more!
That being said, another common mistake is to wave the weights up and down without raising your elbows out to their
sides, which basically cancels most of the
delt -
developing benefits of the movement.
