McCartney's welcome speech opened an orientation week designed to provide
students opportunities to familiarize themselves
with the Ed School campus, Harvard Square, courses, faculty members, and fellow
students, including a diversity event, «Engaging in Inclusive
Dialogue,» led
by Professor Tom Hehir, and master's program meetings.
Though the open
dialogues have a theme and structured content (designed
by the
students), the conversation also includes what music they listen to and how they get along
with their parents — in other words, teenagers talking to teenagers about teenage issues.

with high school
students to create
