like milk or bread or
diapers, you «know» your potential customer will be motivated to pull their purchase trigger often, maybe once a week, and usually in a convenient location that fits into their daily
routine.
Now that I have more experience with cloth and have had my fair share of
diaper washing dilemmas, I would
like to help other parents jump right into an easy
routine.
If you'd
like to share the
diapering duties, but your little one is used to just one parent doing the changes, start by having the non-
diapering parent assist for a few changes, then switch roles, but continue to do it together until your baby is comfortable with the new
routine.
Now there are some things to consider, replacing elastics may need to happen, or hook and loop, or damage to
diapers is possible if the wrong wash
routine is used or if your dog
likes to eat stuff that your kid wears on his butt.
ECing became a
routine just
like changing a
diaper is for people.
When my
diapers start to stink or aren't getting clean
like they should, I try a new wash
routine, test my water hardness, add softeners, or try a new detergent.
If you use a Natural Fibre
diaper,
like Hemp or Cotton, you can technically get away with any cream without using a liner, provided you have a proper cloth
diaper wash
routine.
Many brands
like GroVia or CottonBabies will work with you over the phone or email to solve cloth
diaper wash
routine problems.
Jobs, income, natural disasters
like we've seen recently in Japan, anything could leave any of us in a position where we have to make adjustments in our normal
diapering routine.
Many reusable
diaper users take advantage of these resources and may even join communities
like livejournal's clothdiapering [5] in order to find ways to make their
diaper - washing
routine more efficient or get feedback about different types of reusable
diapers.
They're just
diapers people, calm down... Everything was a learning process for me at first, but we got our proper fitting
diapers finally, we wash them with a great working
routine, if I hear advice that makes me have a second thought (or really just sounds off,
like the CLR bit), I just pass... And I don't preach as I know my advice might not go well for others.
Flat cloth
diapers work just
like other cloth
diapers, and as such, you would be best advised to get into a cloth
diaper washing
routine to care for your
diapers.
This can simply mean being consistent in
routines,
like feeding, sleeping, changing
diapers, and bathing.
Before long, the two of you will get into a
routine, and it goes something
like this: Baby wakes up, dad changes
diaper, mom nurses baby, baby falls asleep (or needs another new
diaper), and on, and on, and on.
Notice her response to your smiling face during
routine activities
like diaper changes, feeding, and bathing.
Between the constant
diaper changes, multiple runs to and from school each day and continuous loops of Itsy Bitsy Spider your kids will be singing each and every single morning, you'll feel
like you're trapped in the same monotonous
routine day in and day out.
A typical
routine for a younger baby (under 3 months, say) using prefolds and PUL wraps (
like Prowraps or Bummis) would be to wash every 2 - 3 days (figuring you'd go through 8 - 10
diapers a day at that age).
According to experts

Diapers), dolls that wet can alleviate some of the stress of changing a child's bathroom
routine.
