So, without further ado, here are my
tips for challenging yourself to using only flat
diapers, with no more than five
diaper covers, while also hand
washing them all.
Tip: You may
wash your natural fiber
diapering products with your other white laundry for the prep cycles, as long as you use a cloth
diaper safe detergent.
Note: if you use baking soda ensure you rinse your
diapers well or use vinegar in your rinse cycle to prevent any
diaper rashes (see question on
washing tips).
Even if you follow all the recommended
washing tips, you still might end up with occasional stinky and less absorbent
diapers due to detergent,
diaper rash ointment, and / or water mineral residue.
