I'm going use cloth diapers when I'm at home (daycare will still use disposables though).

I was afraid to admit to certain fellow attachment parenting moms that I: used a baby swing, tried to get my children to take pacifiers (though none would), used disposable diapers at home some days when I was over doing all that laundry, used the TV as a babysitter when I needed to clean or eat chocolate by myself, fed my children store - bought baby food some times, and much more.

We've been sending him to daycare in underwear instead of diapers for about a month now, under assurances from his teachers that he'd be able to pick up potty training quickly given his age even though we didn't particularly think he was ready (we'd been trying, without much success, to potty train him at home for a while, after all).

I still use cloth diapers as a back up and at night, though during the day when it's just him and i at home he's bare - bummed a lot:) He's 7 1/2 months old now and knows to use the potty - he wakes up dry from naps but will pee as soon as I get him on the potty - I keep one in the car as well and he'll even use it on the go!

My son is 3.3 years and is fully trained when at home or when in school but when we go out to the mall or if he has his friends over he doesn't tell... Very confused how to make him understand that evn in mall or with his friends too he has to tell... Though going to the mall without diaper is a very new concept for him but every accident makes me unenthusiastic about going to the mall or for that matter even training him....

As it turned out, we didn't actually need much: a small, portable booster seat that attaches to a chair (much cleaner and more comfortable for baby than restaurant high chairs, also suitable at homes we visited), diapers (we usually resorted to disposables when we were traveling, even though we used cloth at home), a few bibs, clothes, a sling, a sippy cup (after six months) and a few toys got us through our trips.

Cons are few but these definitely work best for trim fitting cloth diapers or flats / prefolds as the crotch will likely not provide enough coverage with too much added bulk (liners, inserts, etc), or just for hanging out at home (though we've ventured out on quick runs on a couple of occasions without much trouble).
