Simply attach the insert to the
diaper cover with the snaps for a comfortable fit and when there's need for extra protection as the child gets bigger or during night time,
use our extra super absorbent inserts.
The difference between
using a cloth
diaper cover with an absorbent layer and
using an all - in - two
diaper is that with the former, you slide the absorbent layer into the sleeves and with an AI2, you snap it in.
Thicker varities can be
used as
diaper covers with their waterproof qualities.
As stated above, this cloth

used with any style cloth

It works well to

covers and allow one to air dry between

One of the most popular types of fleece
used for
diaper covers is Malden Mills fleece.
Remember, you will only need Snappi fasteners if you are
using prefolds or flats and you will only need
diaper covers if you are
using diapers that are not water proof (i.e. fitteds, prefolds, flats).
Prefolds and
covers are the most similar to the old - fashioned cloth
diapers; except you don't need to
use pins anymore.
It is cost - saving over all - in - one
diapers because I can
use anything as the absorbent part (prefold, flat, t - shirt, receiving blanket...) and you don't need as many
covers as you would all - in - one
diapers.
I have to say the one thing I really dislike about
using diaper or
diaper covers with snaps is I have had problems with snaps that dig into my child's waist.
You can turn any fitted or prefold
diaper into a night worthy solution just by adding doublers and
using a good
cover.
Then if I put a
diaper cover on her (I
use a grovia hybrid shell to contain pee but for her to feel wet)-- she will pee in it almost immediately after me putting it on her.
As long as the wool
cover is not wet or soiled at the next
diaper change you can
use it again.
Cloth
diapers and
covers that
use snaps require a little more adjustment, since you're securing the
diaper with fixed snap locations, rather than just securing the tabs on a Velcro strip across the waistband.
Cut them into little squares and after you are done
using the
diaper or
cover with aplix simply affix the velcro to the aplix fasteners and throw them in your
diaper pail.
