We just
did almost that exact floor tile in our little bathroom but we used
white grout.
After only a couple of months, in the traffic areas (like in front of the sink and toilet), the
grout looks a lot less
white than it
does around the perimeter of the room.
My sister has
white subway in her kitchen and bathrooms with a dark grey
grout and I love it so much that I just
did the same in our new addition — in fact, I'm going to dig out the
grout in the upstairs bathroom (which is
white grout on
white subway tile) and
do a silvery / grey
grout in its place.
Sharon, I totally agree with what you said about the
white grout, my contractor used
white thinset, didn't make any difference.

I
did my shower in
white subday tiles and grey
grout.
The man who is going to install it isn't available for about 3 weeks, but when he
does come over to work on it, I'm going to have him leave just a liiiiiiittle bit of the (ivory - colored)
grout we're using on top of the bricks so that they really look
white - washed... kind of like the inspiration photo I put together a while back:

did was to paint the whole backsplash a glossy
white, because I want it to look like
white subway tile with grey
grout.

White grout lines break up the tile, ensuring the black tile doesn't weigh down the room.

Do you regret not having chosen a

It's an off -
white backsplash from Olympia tile with coordinating
grout, I don't remember what the
grout colour was, it was just a match to the tile.
So far we have installed very light gray shaker style cabinets and plan to
do a dark gray subway tile backsplash with
white grout.
A
white bathroom with dust gathering in the corners or discolored
grout just doesn't have the same charm.
You'll definitely have seen pure
white bricks contrasted with grey or black
grout, but it doesn't need to stop there.
For the backsplash tile, we
did a 3 ″ x 6 ″ subway tile in Arctic
White with Silverado
grout.
