Seven years ago, I spent several days in Crete, during which time my

The average person eating a modern western
diet of processed food consumes a LARGE quantity of fructose without even thinking about it from all of the soft drinks (high fructose corn syrup typically), sweetened juice drinks, orange juice, processed junk foods such
as cakes and candies,
as well
as the HFCS that's added to store - bought
salad dressings, breads and cereals, and even condiments like ketchup.
When other sugars found in the
diet are added to the soda, such
as those found in donuts (8 - 10 teaspoons), jams (3 teaspoons per tablespoon), cookies (2 - 4 teaspoons per cookie), candy or other snacks, and the so - called «hidden sugars» found in
salad dressing, bread, peanut butter and other foods are added, it is easy to see that large amounts of sugar are being consumed daily.
In order for this test to work however, you must eliminate 100 % of gluten from your
diet, including all wheat, barley, rye, oats, but also hidden sources such
as soup mixes, packaged
salad dressings, and most other processed foods.
For last two years I have not been eating any starchy vegetables (plenty of green
salads with half of avocado instead of
dressing), but I am having problem optimizing my
diet as far
as protein / fat ratio.
