in a race that the commentary will replace with Lightning McQueen.

We're driving an F1
car in both
games obviously albeit from slightly
different viewpoints.
Not only was I unable to progress the story (I did eventually find a workaround where you drive a
different car), but upon reloading the
game, I was met with a save corruption notice which gave me a sinking sensation
in my stomach.

game, a lot of it can be spent behind the wheel of a
car as you travel to and from
different parts of the city going from one objective to another and while it isn't so much of a problem early
in the
game, the lack of a fast travel option becomes quite a hindrance as time goes on and the further you get
in the
game because at times it will force you to travel huge distances to speak two lines of dialogue with someone for example and then makes you drive all the way back to where you were originally, which becomes a bit of a chore, but the
car handling isn't bad and it almost feels like you are driving a
car from the 60's as it feels heavy and limited as you manoeuvre certain
cars around a corner.
After all, each
game represents a
different facet of the genre: Project
CARS bills itself as a full - blown simulator, whereas The Crew lets you loose
in an open map of the entire USA.
The campaign is set up per vehicle you can play as: Rallycar, Formula, Motorbike, Sports
Car, Tractor or UFO, you'll start off with the Rally
Car and will complete
in 5 Races on easy to win the Motor Alphabets Cup which then moves on to the Student Of Engines cup (10 races) on a medium difficulty and lastly Master Of Races cup (15 races) with each difficulty level comes a
different cash reward, for instance on easy you'll win # 100,00 for coming 1st, # 70,000 for coming second and # 50,000 for coming third, with your winnings you can purchase another vehicle and move on to the next set of races, each race per cup is a
different track which gives an overall amount of about 100 unique tracks, you get to pick the colour of your vehicle before starting said career path but sadly that's about it for customisation on this retro classic themed racing
game.
After collecting
game points on the practice / qualifying laps you can modify your
car and unlock attributes
in Research and Development menu to increase your speed or handling back on the track, and with over one hundred
different selections to make you'll be spoilt for choice.

in my two matches of Auto Royale: it's goofy and arcadey, it's
different than pretty much any other battle royale
game or mode out there (except perhaps Motor Wars, GTA Online's BR mode), and who doesn't love speeding around, leaning out of
car windows, and shooting the shit out of other
cars?
