different conversion service (ebookarchitects.com)-- is it perhaps because it's the one with the complex layout?

Their «meatgrinder» can automatically convert a properly
formatted Microsoft Word document into a variety of

eBook Store, Baker & Taylor, and more.
It was working really well, so I got some partners on board to flesh the script out and actually have a really simple piece of software that can create the
different ebook formats and even take an unformatted document and intelligently figure out what everything in the document is and come up with a simple 6 × 9 document ready
