different free societies.

A
society that says — you're
free... to be like me... or be
different, but just do it somewhere far away... and don't remind us of it... and if you do, we'll come after you and demonize you.
The
freer a
society, with better education, and the easier access to information and
different views is, the less religious it will become.
Quite a few of us have stable relationships, raise healthy well - educated children, are
free from addiction, vote, volunteer and donate to support causes that help make this
society work, live in harmony with people who are
different from us — I could go on, but you may get the idea that most of us do things most people would call good and have neither the inclination nor the time to do abominable things.
The second question is related to the above: a «
free market» baseline of justice is about procedure - how outcomes are arrived at, who is involved in making decisions, has rights over their own actions, how actions are agreed by parties etc. (or something like that) whereas equality is an outcome, that may or may not be achieved under various procedural arrangements, and may or may not be viewed as desirable by people who hold
different views about what forms of
society - specifications over who has what rights to do what to who.

It might set a regrettable precedent in which Member States are required to actively «police»
society in order to ensure that individuals do not obstruct trade, something that is conceptually
different from refraining to act in a way that obstructs the
free movement of goods.
At
different ends of the continuum, the texting between M.T. and her paramour D.B., on the one hand, and President Obama, friend to and of both new and old media (so far, anyway, although there seems to have been some resiling from
free and easy use of social / new media — if only that had been the case with M.T. And D.B.), on the other, are reminders of how peripheral I feel — am — to how one interacts with
society.
Nobody can in
free societies (Communist / fascist countries are obviously a
different argument.)
