What I realised was the battle system was similar to other classic RPG's, but with the ability to move around and with the weapons having
different attack
zones the combat system in this
game does feel pretty unique.

Namco Bandai announced today that they will be bringing over Project X
Zone, the tactical RPG featuring over 50
different characters from 29
different game series from three
different companies (Namco Bandai, Capcom, and Sega).
The tutorial over, Ubisoft immediately threw us headfirst into a match of Dominion, a 4 - vs - 4
zone - control mode that had our teams of knights (one of three
different warrior types, including samurais and vikings, that will be in the final
game) fighting alongside hordes of NPC grunts to gain control of three areas strewn about a besieged castle map and earn points faster than our opponents.
