While the developer's past couple titles have been
variations of the cyberpunk idea and played around with some
different gameplay mechanics, Tesla vs Lovecraft is a little more in - line with their most famous shooter: Crimsonland.
They've got tonnes of cars, tonnes of tracks and their basic
gameplay experience is race, get cash, buy a car, race, get cash, buy a car, and there's so many cars to choose from but a lot of them are like 5
different variations of the same car.
For example, the character Raiden gives the player three
different variations that include Thunder God, Displacer and Storm Lord and being a fan of the series, I must admit that this did throw a curveball into the
gameplay, especially in terms of mastering their moves.
Each tile set is completely unique in design which really adds another layer to the
gameplay as it means you can replay levels with
different designs across all of the tiles resulting in further
variation of tile positioning.
There is enough
variation in level and
gameplay within each mini-game to keep you occupied for hours, let alone between the
different games.
