In this context, it must be recognized that rankings based on VAM scores and ratings based on observational protocols will necessarily have
different psychometric and statistical
properties.
The focus throughout this article is on the
psychometric properties (reliability, validity and responsiveness) of these scales in
different cultures, as well as the processes used to translate the instruments from English into another language.
Most measures had no evidence that they had undergone any sort of

Second, although the

The scale has good

different self - administered questionnaires testing depression, and test - retest reliability scores of.88.
For the modified GHQ measures, the
psychometric properties were less good but still acceptable at the
different follow - ups.
Whether or not
different types of monitoring are found to be more or less important when measures with good
psychometric properties are constructed, it seems likely that the field will benefit from the development of illness - specific measures if the goal is to link parental monitoring with illness - specific health outcomes.
