The story is much more extensive than many other
games of a similar ilk, as you travel through many
different acts all
in the style of a
stage play.
Complete
stages and unlock
different modes and rewards
in a beautiful
game that draws the player
in.
Throughout the
different missions
in the
game, you will find other locations to explore, but they do begin to get a little repetitive after awhile due to lacking
stage design.
There are three
stages, all of them which you've already played through
in the main
game, just a little
different.
Like
in the other
games, players control Shantae as she explores a variety of action
stages with the help of her unique abilities, such as the ability to transform into
different animals so to be able to access otherwise inaccessible areas.
- Original Dragon Ball story and characters - Dragon Ball Super story and characters - More Dragon Ball Z characters from series and movies - Ability to turn off time limit - Ability to pick
different stages for local multiplayer and endless battle - Allow uneven battles from the start (1 - vs - 2, 2 - vs - 3, etc)- Allow free for all (all players fighting for themselves, rather than teams)- Permanent
stage destruction - Ability to select if items can or can't be used
in a match - Equipment should not be tied to stats - More variation
in character creation, similar to sports
games.
We know that there are both 2D and 3D platforming
stages, some of which are also played on foot at times, but we've also seen a fishing for battleships minigame, 3D flight areas, and revealed
in this new batch of screenshots, a 3D flight racing
game (which seems to have
different mechanics from the other 3D flight areas).
The
game encourages you to explore by hiding several
different collectables
in every
stage, and the percentage complete indicator will definitely tug at the hearts of the completionists out there.
A bunch of older
games had split graphics like
stages into tiles (small images that are, like, 16 × 16, though size can vary) and the devs wrote code to make the tiles repeat
in different ways to make
different objects
in order to reduce size.
Sure, many of the
stages will require trial and error, testing
different strategies until a solution is found, but this is still a
game that can be fully experienced
in 3 - 4 hours max.
