- MX - 6: A new pair of bumpers,
different taillights, wider body side moldings and a new set of alloy wheels highlight the external changes.
In 1996, the European Accord received a minor facelift and was given a new front end (new headlights, bumper, bonnet and grill) and slightly
different taillights (see images).
A different taillight design, a dual - instead quad - outlet exhaust, and the lack of a GT badge are clues at the rear that you're looking at a V - 6 G8.
Cosmetically, a different grille and redesigned tail lights were the only notable cosmetic changes that year but 1979 brought a redesigned, flat front end and a subtly
different taillight treatment featuring a Buick crest and bisecting horizontal silver line.
Not exact matches
The biggest change to the rear appears to be the
taillights, in which the LEDs form a
different shape compared to the current model's lights.
To give us a taste of what's to come, Rolls - Royce has teased one of the vehicle's
taillights, and it looks quite
different from those on the new Phantom.
Out back, the Touareg now has LED
taillights, and the tailgate design is slightly
different.
Drivers in slower cars will note new
taillights, a
different fascia that places the license plate lower and visually widens the rump, a wider and flatter rear window, and a minutely changed curvature to the roofline.
A snapshot of what's
different about the BRZ: updated front end with LED headlights and fog lamps; LED
taillights; new wheels; new fender accent, new aluminum rear spoiler, new steering wheel, updated gauge cluster with a color multi-function display, retuned suspension, reworked engine internals and accessories that add 5 horsepower and 5 lb - ft of torque to the 2.0 - liter flat - four, a new final - drive ratio for manual models (4.3:1 vs. 4.1:1 for 2016), a stiffer body, and less aggressive stability control that includes a new Track mode.
The 2016 Mazda CX - 5 doesn't look remarkably
different than before, as the changes to the exterior styling amount to a reshaped grille, slightly
different headlights, new alloy wheels, and LED accents for the
taillights.
But the 2016 Nissan Altima does look quite
different from the outgoing 2013 - 2015 model, as it gains Nissan's V - motion front grille and angular headlights with boomerang - shaped LED accents up front, and a new rear fascia with wider
taillights out back.
A rising character line along the side and large
taillights out back align the X1 with its X3 and X4 siblings, and a performance - oriented M Sport trim adds
different wheels and tires along with a sport suspension and a few interior upgrades.
Design changes compared with the standard Sonata are mostly shared between the two hybrid models, and include a
different front grille, updated front and rear fascias, revised headlights and
taillights, and
different wheels.
The
taillights look
different from those on the last standard X5 prototype we saw, although neither look production ready.
The rear
taillights are also revised with a slightly
different shape and standard LED lighting, and the rear tailgate is shaped slightly differently.
While the front end has shades of the Clarity with its prominent LED headlights, and the CR - V and Ridgeline with its recognizable horizontal chrome bar, the Accord's
taillights represent a
different take on the C - shape we know from the new Civic.
Out back the
taillights appear to be slightly
different, and the rear diffuser may be hiding an additional trim strip.
While the Giulietta's basic hatchback shape isn't really that
different from that of several other cars on the road, its distinctive front end, LED
taillights, and unique wheels makes it stand out in traffic.
Camaro - style
taillights and pronounced body lines define the next - generation Malibu, which will be sold in 100
different countries starting mid-2012.
On the exterior,
different side sills, silver hood and side mesh grills, clear rear
taillights, and a bright finish front grill are fitted to this hotter V8 Vantage.
323 / PROTEGE: There are a few exterior revisions, namely redesigned
taillights and rear end, and
different alloy wheels and wheel covers.
The rear fascia receives sleeker
taillights that are connected, in addition to a
different tailgate and bumper.
The 2013 Civic gets a new grille, more sculpted hood, revamped front and rear bumpers, updated
taillights and
different wheels.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the sole image of the sedan that Porsche is sharing for now shows its rear fascia and
taillights, as if trying to prove early on that it will be
different from the outgoing model.
The package brings with it a raft of Denali - exclusive trim and interior bits that really make the design pop: Chrome grille,
different front and rear fascias, unique head - and
taillight design, integrated rear exhaust outlets, and 19 - inch wheels are among the stuff you can only get on the Denali package.
At the back, the clean surface around the VW badge, the wide rear window, and the geometric
taillights are typical SportWagen features, even though the lines are completely
different.
There's also a slightly
different take on Acura's jewel LED headlights and floating LED
taillights.
Of course, the overhang and the trunk lid is shorter, while the
taillights are smaller and feature a
different cluster pattern.
Along with a LED
taillight, new rear fender design, three generous storage compartments (tank top, right - side front fender, and under the tail), and newly designed optional front and rear racks that allow you to carry a sizeable load, the body makeover has made the new Yamaha ATV a very
different looking animal.
The last Cutlass was little more than a Chevrolet Malibu with a
different grille and
taillights - a far cry from the days when it was America's favorite family sedan.
The rear gets a new bumper with
different character lines and new
taillights.
Out back, the
taillights are
different in design if not in overall shape, and they're now joined by a single horizontal chrome strip that runs along the top of the rear license plate niche.
At the 2016 Geneva Motor Show we've found a modified Avanti Rosso on the Nimrod Luxury Cars stand... now called the Avanti Toro we see a totally
different front bumper and fenders while the rear section underneath the
taillights has been modified too... even the engine cover is
different from the earlier Avanti Rosso edition.
The 2017 Lexus IS lineup sports a revised nose and tail with a slightly
different grille, headlights and
taillights.
Compared to the Lexus RX 330 and RX 350, the RX 400h featured a
different front grille and round fog lights, and also differently styled LED
taillights in place of the conventional LED ones on the RX 330 / RX 350.
If we look at the facelift done to the Murciélago and the Gallardo before we could be expecting some modifications to the headlights and
taillights too, we might be seeing those innovative LED headlights on the Aventador S... and why not have some Veneno / Centenario inspired
taillights too... just to be
different.
It does look
different, particularly with details like the head - and
taillights, but there's nothing drastic here.
The design
taillight and part of the tailgate previewed in this teaser photo aren't too
different from the concept.
For 2016 the Silverado gets new
taillights, plus a new grille design that looks significantly
different depending on the model.
That suave new design follows suit on the side panels and into the rear, with a choice of 12
different wheel designs, and more streamlined LED
taillights.
The Bentley has also received a slightly
different roof line, new rear doors, a new bumper, and new
taillights to match the headlights.
There are unique stainless - steel door sills, a slightly modified instrument cluster, a
different gearshift lever, slight modifications to seat upholstery and a minor tweak to the
taillights.
Down below, the
taillights now have sharper corners and feature a new lens layout while the license plate recess is now wider and takes a
different shape.

Additional changes can be found on its backside, with newly designed
taillights, as well as three
different sets of wheels.
Although image reveals only the side profile of the new model, the teasers and spy photos reveal that Thor's Hammer LED daytime running lights now extend outside of the main headlight cluster and reaches the sides of the grille, while at the rear LED
taillights feature a new LED graphic
different than the one of the XC90.
As you can see, not only have the bread - van - like doors been kept, but the
taillights seem to look completely
different when compared to the two - and four - door Coopers.
The
taillights are
different from the sedan by incorporating rounder edges, rather than the sharper parts on the four - door.
The uncovered
taillight assemblies on this prototype appear to be
different from the ones we saw on a prototype back in April, and, with the exception of some reconfigured LED bulbs, are almost identical to the ones on the current SLK.
Just like the 3 Series Sedan and Touring, the 3er GT will get a minimal design upgrade starting with slightly
different headlights and
taillights graphics, a subtle bumper redesign and ending with an equally minimal interior upgrade which will feature an updated iDrive system and new trim and leather options.
