From the start, this game allows you to pick one of three characters to use, each with
a different weapon of choice and abilities.
Not exact matches
There are a few
different ways you can approach the Villa map, this route is the one that I have the most success with regardless
of my
weapon choice.
Each
of the 40 or more characters have their own fight styles, which come in two
different variations, focus combos and long combos, personified by their
weapon choice.
Meanwhile, the pleasant dings
of a multi-stat level up, the endless customization involved in forging and upgrading
weapons, the
choices inherit in upgrading the individual tech tress

different characters, all give you a pleasant sense
of progress.
You'll have to do a few

choice of armor and make sure you've got the best
weapon for whatever quest you plan to tackle.

You have the
choice of wielding either two
different weapons or one very powerful two - handed
weapon.

You could just use your shield to block an incoming attack and mitigate damage; or you could try timing your block right before the blow's about to hit you to initiate a «parry» allowing for a counterattack and (with sed points invested) open up many
different devastating series
of attacks specific to «the moment after a successful parry» & the
weapon of choice; such as a flying spin attack with your faeblades.
It's also disappointing to see just two character models for henchman and very limited customisation
choices so that most
of your warband will look the same until you can equip them with
different weapons and armor, and even then there's not enough variation in equipment.
This ability to swap out
different weapons on the fly for completely
different ability sets is fantastic, meaning that while you'll still have to train with each
weapon set to unlock the new abilities you'll have a massive
choice of weapons at your disposal to find the play style right for you.
On the surface RAGE doesn't really look hugely
different from the other FPS games on the market, but it's the enemies and
choice of weapons that help set it apart from the crowd.
You have a
choice between 3
different weapons, however, depending on the color
of ghost, it will be more or less effective.
There was a
choice of classes which offered
different weapon and perk setups which we found interesting.
Moira's preferred
choice of weapon is a crowbar, which comes in handy for breaking pieces

From the first game to this one I have tried
different weapons and loved each — lance is my current
weapon of choice, as the ability to block almost anything and attack through enemy skin to weaker points inside really appeals to me.
Unfortunately, there's not a lot
different about the
weapon choices; once you figure out the loadout that's right for you, it's just a matter
of waiting through missions until you get a more powerful version
of that same
weapon.
