levels and instead of
differentiating instruction to meet each student's need, they
teach to the student with the lowest ability.
This includes
differentiating instruction, implementing behavioral strategies and catering to individualized
teaching practices to support students in attaining a certain
level of advancement.
In a
differentiated classroom, teachers divide their time, resources, and efforts to effectively
teach students who have various backgrounds, readiness and skill
levels, and interests (ASCD).
Those students who were
taught using a
differentiated curriculum that supplemented the textbook curriculum and were placed in various groups according to their performance
level demonstrated significantly higher achievement on the post-test than did high - performing students who were
taught using the textbook curriculum and whole - class instruction.
There are no
leveled resources readily available to me — meaning that if I'm going to
