New for this year is an AI
difficulty slider with 110 increments instead of the seven available in last year's game.
Meanwhile, The Ultimate Choice taking inspiration from Kid Icarus: Uprising «s Fiend's
Cauldron difficulty slider makes for an interesting Arena replacement, but Guest Star???? Star Allies Go!
The problem with this is that there doesn't seem to be enough notches on the
invisible difficulty slider — I often found myself finishing 3 levels in a row without a single death, followed by getting my backside handed to me on a level.
As mentioned, the driving is fun enough; there's a sizable stable of vehicles to choose from, and
enough difficulty sliders and options to cater to racers of all types.
Two little things I wish were better: it could use more playable characters to enhance the RPG feel, and it probably could use
a difficulty slider — the game was a tad too easy, despites the abundance of secrets and mysteries in it.
The difficulty slider works with the color of your skin so if you go for a darker color, it might lead to a higher difficulty overall.
A difficulty slider ensures a fair or challenging experience for any player, as it can be adjusted individually when cooperative play is active.
Survival Mode isn't much better since it trades the limited art and plot for grinding against wave after wave of easy enemy AI's with
no difficulty slider to adjust only for difficulty to spike each ten matches.
Also for replayablilty the game offers
a difficulty slider which is risk / reward based.
Your team selection acts kind of like
a difficulty slider, with higher ranking teams having higher expectations.
There's no instruction manual, no tutorial, not even
a difficulty slider.
Cons: - We need an instruction manual, tutorial level,
difficulty slider, anything to help me learn if there is more than what has been shown - It is a budget title, but looks and plays as if it could run on last gen, maybe even the one before - Sluggish camera and bland landscapes make fighting difficult.
But it's frankly less time consuming, and frustrating, to change
the difficulty slider on a per race basis.
Bloodborne / Souls games should have
a difficulty slider as far as I am concerned, same as this game.
