There are times when «Louder Than Bombs» struggles from a few too many plot contrivances, some better resolved than others, including a time - wasting
digression involving Conrad's infidelity and an overabundance of discussions about just how much Isabelle really wanted to leave her globe - trotting life behind to be with her family.
Meanwhile,
digressions involving Sutton shaving Lowe's balls and a couple of French Canadian roughnecks peeking in on Youngblood (Keanu Reeves -LRB-!)

There should also be a list of agenda items that get distributed to everyone
involved, and ideally a specific amount of time alotted to cover each one to partially preempt
digressions.

The storyline -
involving flashbacks and
digressions a-plenty as Kronk reminisces on how everything in his life went to pot - generally comes off as series of loosely - connected episodes rather than a cohesive whole, with the emphasis placed on Kronk's various misadventures (including a long stretch in which Kronk must confront a competing camp counselor).
Worse, nobody
involved seems to trust the material, so each potentially witty or endearing moment gets drowned in a sea of lazy scatology (possible nadir: Marano appears to have pooped her pants) and quirky
digressions.
