A popular late night snack around here is
dipping slices banana in melted chocolate then freezing them.

I admit that my favorite way to eat this caramel flavored spread is from a spoon, but it is also great when poured over ice cream, used as a
dip for fruit, spread on bread or even pancakes, poured over popcorn, used as a flavoring in homemade ice cream or yogurt, as a frosting, to sandwich two cookies together (especially in Alfajores), as a layer in Millionaire's Shortbread Bars, or in a Banoffee Pie (takes a pastry shell and fills it with Dulce de Leche,
sliced bananas, and whipped cream).
Dipped apple
slices in and put it in the middle of
banana muffins (recipe to come).
I love the coffee chia bars
dipped into a big scoop of almond butter, acai berry bars with a few
slices of creamy brie,
banana nut chia bars crumbled over some full fat yogurt or vanilla almond chia bars crumbled with some nuts to make a crunchy trail mix.
I pressed chopped peanuts, chia seeds, and even ground flax seeds into freshly cut
banana slices, priming them for a
dip in the melted chocolate pool.
Continue until all the
banana slices have been
dipped and topped with goodies.
Once you have that under way,
slice up a few
bananas and then let the
dipping begin!

Students sampled fresh apple
slices, applesauce, salmon
dip on crackers, cheese, smoothies made with kale,
banana, apples and milk, a variety of local produce was sampled from cut up raw veggies, like carrot, pepper, radishes, and fresh roasted beets and new potatoes, and kale chips.
A mixture of one tablespoon of lemon juice to one cup water will let you prepare fruits like apples (and even
bananas) that turn brown when cut by
dipping the
slices in the mixture.
Sliced banana dipped into yogurt is a great example.
I can personally vouch it will be the best
dip for apples, perfect on toast with
sliced bananas, on top of oatmeal, a smoothie bowl topper, mixed with Greek yogurt, your classic PB&J (never too old for that...), on top of dark chocolate as previously mentioned, and simply eaten by the spoonful if all else fails.
There is certainly lots of leftover filling, but I put a blob in my oatmeal and used it to
dip banana slices in.
Once you have that under way,
slice up a few
bananas and then let the
dipping begin!
