Managed entire workflow of
labor and delivery unit, which included transcribing physician orders, answering phone calls, registering and admitting patients / newborns into the Meditech computer system, notifying selected Pediatrician upon the birth of newborn, scheduling of obstetrical procedures, typing birth / death certificates, and handling of paternity / denial paperwork, provided
direct patient care to mothers and newborns under the
supervision of the nurse.
Since the requirement of a broker to exercise
supervision over agents is in
direct conflict with one of the basic tenants of an independent contractor relationship, it is difficult for a broker to both comply with
labor laws in order to establish an independent contractor relationship, while also fulfilling their supervisory duties under state real estate laws.
