Physical examinations on all canines evaluated included hind limb lameness (unilateral or bilateral), with discomfort on extension and internal rotation of the noted hind limb, and with rigidity + / - spasm and discomfort on
direct palpation of the iliopsoas muscle belly or tendon.
Diagnosis can usually be made by
direct palpation of the area.
