The Moon of Mahaa - Kalaa lets you counter attacks by flicking
the directional stick at them, a trick that recalls (but actually predates) MGR's parries.

These appear
at first glance to be a part of the Switch, with offset analog
sticks on either side and a dedicated set of face buttons and
directional inputs, along with a home button and dedicated capture button for screenshots (and,
at some point later this year, video).
You see, to parry an incoming attack you must push the
directional stick toward the enemy and press the light attack button
at the same time.
Your weapons are bound to the
directional pad, and the various pieces of equipment
at your disposal, such as grenades and trip mines, are accessed by holding the L1 button and selecting things via the left
stick.
The menu on the right side of the screen contains all the options —
at the top, a slider adjusts the overall size of text, going from smaller on the left to larger on the right, which you can adjust with either the
directional pad, the left analog
stick, or the Switch's touchscreen.
