We're asking parents, students, and other community advocates to join us in the fight to maintain the federal school discipline guidance, which is a critical tool that can help schools and districts reduce the use of practices that push students out of school (e.g. suspensions and expulsions) and prevent them from disciplining in ways that
discriminate against students of color.
The office investigates also whether schools» student discipline policies
discriminate against students of color, and if schools are adhering to Title IX guidance barring discrimination against transgender students.
Chattanooga State Community College does not
discriminate against students, employees, or applicants for admission or employment on the basis
of race,
color, religion, creed, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity / expression, disability, age, status as a protected veteran, genetic information, or any other legally protected class with respect to all employment, programs and activities sponsored by Chattanooga State.
