I did not make it
in a
springform pan for fear of it dripping out, and it worked just fine
in an oval
dish the first time, a square one the next.
Could I make this
in a 9 inch pie
dish or a 9 inch
springform pan?
To bake using a water bath, you will need a baking
pan that is large enough to hold a
springform pan (or other baking
dish wrapped
in foil to avoid any water from seeping into the
pan which would make the cheesecake crust too wet), and is also large enough to allow for water to surround to mid of the
springform pan.
You'll need a
springform pan to make this correctly, but you could probably do it
in a deep
dish pie
pan if you're desperate.
For the crust, process all ingredients
in a food processor until blended, and press into the bottom and sides of a tart tin, pie
dish or
springform pan.
Don't worry if you don't have a
springform cheesecake
pan - I made these
in a plain ole baking
dish and they turned out great.
