Because of
these disparate plotlines, the narrative does at times have a patchwork feel, and it is much less seamless than the first two books.
Atkinson is excellent at weaving together seemingly
disparate plotlines — as displayed in the Jackson Brodie series — so I can't wait to see what she does with the many lives of Ursula Todd.
With its patchwork story, sewn together from
disparate plotlines (perhaps collated from discarded script ideas), 10 Cloverfield Lane can be trying on our patience when it should be tightening the tension screws.
