I used lime juice (not lemon), I let the almonds soak for

cloth so I used a coffee filter (it
did drain), I set my oven to 350 and put them in before the oven pre-heated and set it for an hour (figured the oven would heat up in 15 min, so it'd be 45 min of cooking)... They were burnt on the bottom and sides and they were dry and brittle.

When I first started

... or instead of buying all of these new items, use items you already have around the house — old purses (for girls), tupperware, visit second - hand stores for
cloth napkins... it's hard to get excited
about «be a green parent» articles, blog entries, and websites that just tell us to go buy something b / c it is green... even the Waste Free Lunch website tries to sell us on how much less it costs to pack a lunch, saying that
cloth napkins, lunch bag, reusable containers and thermoses don't cost anything while tabulating the cost of paper / disposable versions... but there is an initial layout, so that argument doesn't hold my attention.

I
do nt know
about you, but from that fact alone, Ill put my trust in
cloth over disposables.
I read a lot
about how you don't really have to buy certain supplies with breastfeeding (and also with
cloth diapering).
Both of them seemed to only get the heat rash on their upper body (cheeks, ears, neck + shoulders) while bathing them, wet your finger n rub some dial soap on it then apply it where ever the rash it (be careful with the face area because this soap will sting if it gets in their eyes) leave it for
about 2 - 3 minutes and gently rinse off,
do not rub with a wash
cloth, that will irritate their skin more, just rub off the soap with your finger as you pour water on it.

Stroller, diapers (3 times as many as you think you need — they don't sell them in airports), wipes (travel pack or 2), disposable changing pads (Target sells»em — very handy for the «ewwwww factor of changing baby in a public restroom), few favorite toys & books (
does mean that you have to be vigilant
about not dropping / losing them), changes of clothes (I took 2 for baby, 1 clean shirt for myself), favorite blanket, a burp
cloth, baby Benadryl *, and pacifier (even though baby didn't regularly use one, we had one on hand!).
After learning
about the different styles of
cloth diapers, I knew that I didn't want a mixed stash: how would I keep track of what went with what, how they all worked, etc.?
I couldn't get my husband to be enthusiastic
about cloth, so I didn't feel right
about spending money on buying
cloth diapers if I was the only one who would diaper the baby with them.
There are so many things I just didn't know
about when entering the
cloth diaper universe, and I feel so much better knowing that I have a reference to come back to whenever I have questions.
Didn't you worry
about leaking and wicking before you started

about a week of hoping, I had to come to terms with the fact that wet
