Certainly there are churches that care more about entertainment than
they do about worship.

In spite of the Ten Commandment's ban on «graven images» (and the
worship of them), many Christians have become so used to visual representations of Christ that we often don't give them a second thought, nor consider what they say
about our mental picture of the Son of God.
I don't spend time in my study figuring out how to save the world, how to grow the church, how to get more money out of people's pockets, how to promote this church's ministry, how to enthrall our people more with sexy
worship music, how to make myself more awesome before my people, how to get more people to hear
about and come to our church.
So much of what I led
worship with in high school was
about me — the lyrics centered on me telling God what I wanted to
do, or what I wanted Him to
do.
Worship, to him, entails obeying the great commandments to love God and your neighbor, something that he thinks any sincere person could
do, whatever erroneous views they hold
about God's nature.
It didn't fly when it was Pharoh, it didn't fly when it was the King of Babylon (in the story of Daniel), it didn't fly in history when it was Alex the Great, it didn't fly when it was the Caesars (including Augustus) who were deified and supposed to be
worshipped... and in the only Jewish sect on record who followed Jesus that we know
about, (the Ebionites), it didn't fly there either.
You know one of the «laws» says they have every right to
worship whichever fairy tale they wish to an there is not a thing you can
do about it.
It doesn't bother me in the least that I won't have to sit
worshiping at the feet of some egotistical deity for all eternity, or try to make some demon feel good
about himself.
Muslims never take Jesus» name in vain or disrespect him, he got the people a message
about worshiping the one GOD, just like Muhammad (pbuh)
did.
As it is, most churches plays some institutional game that is
about rules and
worship — and
does not imply the importance of community and the focus of love in their community (as long as they
do the Christian things that's good).

about, who stumble clumsily through

The Bible says the same kinds of things
about people who don't
worship the one true god... it even tells you you to kill people who try to convert you... the difference is that we have grown as a society and we no longer murder people for what they believe... islam hasn't caught up with the rest of us... it's a problem and threat to the civilized word.

do think it is important to recognize that people can
