I know it sounds very strange to put avocado in something sweet and it's been a bit of a trend in healthy eating, I'm sure lots of you are skeptical of it, but we think it's definitely worth trying as using this is very creamy and we don't think you can taste the veg — instead you taste deliciously chocolaty tones with sweet hints of dates and a little
banana, then you get the crunchy almonds and the yoghurt and
chocolate sauce...
While a small half - cup serving of this PB,
chocolate and
banana shake might be an acceptable dessert, it doesn't qualify as a healthy breakfast or snack in any size.
Ripe
bananas are also fabulous in smoothies (and in
Chocolate Chip Banana Cookie Dough Truffles), but their use doesn't stop there... they also make a great natural sweetener for cookies!
I realized yesterday that if I
did a WIAW it would be a pretty solid inventory of your recipes - starting with make - ahead steel cut oatmeal, butternut squash curry for lunch, pumpkin pie smoothie for a snack, uh... more butternut squash curry for dinner, and
chocolate banana muffin (s) for dessert.
I don't drink much coffee either but w / hot
chocolate and

Yesterday, I only had two ripe
bananas, but I
did have about a cup of pumpkin left over from your fabulous pumpkin bread (that i turned into amazing mini
chocolate chip studded, maple frosted mini cupcake / muffins).
So I didn't have any apricots BUT I
did have a
banana and some dark
chocolate.
All I must say is that without any nuts or
chocolate, I didn't think a
banana bread could be so satisfying!
I regret that a bit, because I didn't realize just how good the
banana bread would be (and the
chocolate I was using wasn't especially good, but I don't think any
chocolate can really fit with this cake).
And since I don't get the opportunity very often — I figured I'd go all out and make
banana chocolate chip pancakes.
If you're still wondering what to
do with almond flour, I wouldn't be opposed to making
chocolate hazelnut shortbread with almond flour in place of the hazelnut flour or substitute some almond flour for whole wheat flour in
banana bread, not opposed at all.
Scrounging around my kitchen (as one
does at 9 pm when they decide to bake), I gathered up
bananas, coconut flakes and
chocolate chips.
This particular bread combined three of my favorite flavors — strawberries,
bananas, and
chocolate chips, and I
did a rather unorthodox thing by baking it in a giant springform pan so that it came out looking more like a cake than a quick - bread.

doing a smoothie with yogurt, almond butter, coconut butter, unsweetened
chocolate, milk and one
banana and it's been keeping me full till lunch.
I like to
do bananas with
chocolate in the middle baked in the oven but these are healthier.
Mine were a little on the plain side because I didn't have enough
chocolate chips, but if you follow the recipe exactly and you love
banana bread, then you won't be disappointed with these!

You can keep it plain and simple with a dash of maple syrup of you can go nuts by adding, nuts (oh yes I
did), seeds, fruit, think of
bananas and strawberries, jelly, peanut butter or maybe a nice drizzle of
chocolate sauce.
It's off to a great start with these vegan
chocolate banana muffins, if I
do say so myself.
Even though I am not gluten free, I
do not eat white bread or pasta, but I will try the flourless
chocolate banana cake and other recipes.
These are a soft cakey cookie (more like a mini muffin) that really
does taste like
banana bread with the addition of almond butter, oats, and
chocolate chips.
And don't forget about sour cream
banana bread or
banana chocolate chip breakfast cake!)
Ok this is making me laugh because, confession: my copy of a home made life has so many
banana and
chocolate smears on the
banana bread page that it's so permanently crinkled to the extent that I don't even need to turn down the corner to find the page.

I
do a similar
banana cake with olive oil,
chocolate and yogurt, but with a Swedish twist of cardamom and black peppe.
This
banana bread is my favorite (sorry don't tell the other
banana breads here) and it is made with THREE Justins» products:
banana chips, honey peanut butter and mini dark
chocolate peanut butter cups on top.
I think I must have first ordered it for a dare, because the three main ingredients —
banana,
chocolate & black coffee — really don't sound to me like they're going to work together.
I have had versions of these muffins, and I can assure you that they are delicious, the peanut butter and
banana are
doing their own delicious thing and then in jumps the
chocolate, and well, as you can imagine, it is like a tasty tango.

chocolate If you don't mind using store bought ingredients you can cut down a lot on the steps but since I was posting it I figured I would make a proper version entirely from scratch just for you.
The
banana flavor mixes really well with pumpkin flavor, so these muffins are definitely not bland, and with only 1/2 cup of
chocolate chips added, the
chocolate does not dominate other flavors here — all of the flavors (pumpkin,
banana,
chocolate) are really balanced.
Since I don't care at all for
chocolate and
do not see it as «healthy» I am saddened by your «healthy» things to make with overripe
bananas.
To sum up: if I could have
chocolate cream or
banana or cookie whey protein I would, but I'm gonna have to make
do with this for the health benefits and the impressive protein content per scoop.
I can't wait to try this, I'll probably add
chocolate, you know how much I love it or maybe some cherries, what

So i
did a
chocolate banana bread.
I personally always make sure I purchase fair trade coffee,
chocolate, cashews,
bananas, etc., it's so important that we all
do!
One of them grumbled at the fact that we had to use
bananas (he doesn't eat fruits) while the other two were a lot more open to trying it out — especially when I mentioned the words peanut butter and
chocolate chips.
There is probably nothing else that can get my attention like
chocolate and
bananas does.
Crevette and Jumpy were so desperate to try them that I made them a free from
chocolate and
banana one as their starter, swiftly followed by their ham, cheese and cream ones before moving on to dessert (
do not judge me!)
I also
do not like
chocolate chips in my
banana bread, but in this cake with the glaze, they are perfect.
I
do frozen
bananas buzzed up in the blender with a little milk and a sprinkling of dark
chocolate chips over it... best thing I've found when I NEEEEEED ice cream.
I
do make
banana chocolate or blueberry pancakes at home.
I've tried snacking on a few squares of coffee - studded dark
chocolate and
banana bread made with (decaf) coffee grounds (my coffee - hating husband ate it and didn't even notice there was coffee in it)(HA), but I'm never fully satisfied.
Then for a different twist, I replaced the said cinnamon chips with peanut butter chips, because peanut butter and
banana goes so well togeyher, but wait there's more; I also added the
chocolate chips called for in the recipe, because not only
does peanut butter and
banana go well together, but so
does banana and
chocolate, and
chocolate and peanut butter, and all three just makes a glorious trio of muffin perfection!
Whether used in grain - free
banana almond pancakes,
banana chocolate - chip muffins,
banana nut oatmeal crunch cookies, simple baked
banana chips or a tropical fruit salad —
bananas always seem to
do the trick.
Then I thought,
does anyone really want to know that
chocolate éclairs and the best ever
banana muffins are STILL the most popular recipes around here?
Needless to say, she
did not come empty handed, but brought a cake made of stacked peanut - butter -
banana cookies with
chocolate and toffee chips, caramel frosting, and caramelized
banana topping.
