As many told before, I shop at local ethnic supermarkets, buy
bulk,
cook beans, and don't buy processed substitutes.
While I'll always think about
cooking this way, lately I've been inspired to improve upon my methods and here's what I'm
doing instead: I come up with one item I can
cook in
bulk and three possible meals using the dish before I even begin
cooking.
My only problem is the
cooking of the actual food i
do 13 hour shifts so i make in
bulk on one day and will freeze the rest for lunches at work over the month i think.
So for some time I had quite a collection of vacuum packed frozen veal liver from our
bulk meat purchases accumulating in the freezer as I
did not dare
cook them to avoid ruining a meal.
Now I know dried beans are cheap and good, and I
do buy them from the
bulk bin occasionally and take the time to
cook them up.

Recently, I finally
did what I should have
done years ago and applied my normal meal planning and
bulk cooking to vacation time.
To make your life easy, I recommend picking one day to
do the
bulk of your prep, with a little room to make things on nights you're home and have time to
cook.
Avoid the packaged food aisles, make friends with the
bulk and produce departments, shop your local farmer's market, and if you don't already
cook at home...
If you don't like
cooking every day, prepare chicken in
bulk at the beginning of the week to have it on hand for easy, high - protein chicken stir - fries.

I find that
cooking in
bulk means I don't have to be in the kitchen all day everyday.
Dedicate one or two hours every weekend for
bulk cooking, and you'll be thankful you
did.
While it
does have some of the name nutritional benefits of fresh chicken, it's mostly used to replace some of the
bulk that's lost when the fresh meat is
