I'm not fond of orange either and have none in my home decor (or closet) but being a retired preschool teacher whose classroom was full of typical Fall colors I have to include oranges, maroons, and yellows for awhile or it just doesn't seem like I'm welcoming the season.
As for fall colors in decor, I find there's still a nice way to use the actual colors of the season, as long as you don't use them all together.

This is the first fall decorating that I've done but I think it is setting the tone for the rest of the seasons decor.
My personal style tends to lean a little more transitional modern with clean lines and an eclectic feel so doing something different in my decor this season has made my home feel fresh for fall but more importantly it blends and flows better with the rest of my home, vs. the traditional fall colors that would have fought with my existing decor.
