even if he had to
do it
on his own.
For a while, righteous indignation made the losing of his religion rather fun, as it always
does; but as
summer wore
on into fall and the water began its slow progress to winter's cold, he became merely sour - angry at the universe, but
even more angry at himself for having let it turn him into a grouch.
As fate would have it, I
did not have to wait long, for we discovered that next
summer that we each inhabited the same island as cottage owners in the Ottawa Valley: a discovery that led to many
evenings spent together
on each other's front deck, bourbon in hand, after sharing a common celebration of the Eucharist and a common meal.
And I
do mean thick creamy REAL ice cream, not the healthier nice cream version, which tastes amazing as a snack or
even as a brekkie
on sunny
summer mornings.
I've also been working
on my tan while

summer produce showing up, like zucchini, basil, and
even a few tomatoes.
Now how absolutely delicious
does that look, I can just imagine cooking it
on a cool
summers evening!
Jenny, These skewers look like a terrific
summer supper to me — I don't
even need to wait for the stuff
on the grill, this will set me up just fine.
If you recall, last year I
even did a mini installment
on this blog: «
Summer Corn 4 Ways.»

do I eat soup year - round,
even on hot
summer days?
Sometimes, yes, in place of a meal, sometimes as a post-workout snack, and sometimes in the middle of the day when it's blazin» hip - hop and I'm regretting my decision to be all anti-AC when it's not
even summer yet (fun fact: this year's
summer solstice is our wedding anniversary)(yes I
did that
on purpose).
The other day I was feeling a bit full of myself, bragging about my love of baking and how
even the
summer heat doesn't keep me from turning
on the oven.
Chilled classics like gazpacho and cucumber are refreshing and so easy to make, you don't
even have to turn
on the stove: it's all
done in the blender (one of my favorite parts of
summer soups!).
And to think we waste 8m a season
on wenger and another 2.5 m
on that ivan loser he
even got a 1m bonus last
summer for what I really
do nt know??? we are a joke that the football world laughs at and will continue to laugh at until bigs changes are made from top to bottom
The youngster burst onto the scene this
summer with four goals in one game against Benfica, but he has dropped so far down the pecking order that he didn't
even get a place
on the bench when Danny Welbeck was injured and Olivier Giroud was banned, so it is obvious that Wenger has lost faith in him.
«How Arsenal respond this
summer will be crucial» Admin, please save this article because you will need it next year this time around... This kind of articles are there for long 11 seasons (
summers) and the specialist is here
doing what his ego tells him to do... I say no, this time ALL fans should stand together and demand more, put more pressure on the board and the manger... This club is a top club and is not a 4th grade anymore... All those who are in UK should do something (protests, show banners, chants, boycott, whatever)... I know there are still fans who support Wenger, but you also should demand more from Wenger, I assume you are discontent with the results and the transfer policy... Doing nothing, our 4th - place trophy is not even guarante

Well it is for clubs that are happy to spend crazy money like that
on a player, but Arsenal are certainly not one of those clubs,
even though Arsene Wenger has broken the transfer record a few times in recent years and
did so again this
summer by spending over # 50 million to get Lacazette from Lyon.
I truly hope John Hartson was right in saying we could be spending between # 100M — # 120M this
summer because top players don't come cheap
even if they have a year left
on their current contracts.
Further to my comment
on Theo and Giroud Its very very telling that noone has ever come in and made us a serious offer for either of them, and
even with Girouds supposedly great competition this
summer I
do nt hear of anyone lining up to buy him.
4) We need players this
summer as simple as that and across the pitch, ready made WC caliber player: CB, DM, ST we can't continue that way and it showed (Coquelin has
done fantastic but as I said a few times
on other articles a few good games is not enough and this is he's 1st mediocre game - inexperience) 5) Misfiring: chances we get but we fail to convert and put ourselves in a commanding position and that has happen so many times it seems we never learn: Welbeck and Giroud should've
done better can't expect Özil, Cazorla and Sanchez
even thought he can score to
do it (Aguero or Suarez would've put that game to bed with all the chances in the 1st half)
so when the only player you have bought is someone signed for free and we all know that was
done even before wenger signed his contract, the fans will smell the Bullshit a mile away... most fans
on here know what the team needs, know what players we should be going for and who is a realistic target, we just want the manager and the board to get the deals
done so we can enjoy our
summer instead of spending it behind the screen frustrated like we
do every year.
Then there is the small matter of Matthieu Debuchy, who has
done nothing but moan since he arrived at the club, and who
even forced Wenger to send him out
on loan in January (and left the Gunners without a proper backup for Hector Belleirn) because he was whining that he needed to play to get into the France team at the European Championships this
summer.
The sad truth is that we are just a couple of players away from having a very strong starting 11... Wenger's fixation with Walcott and mertesakher as starting players remains a mystery to me... neither have the quality of a top team like arsenal... I am not a giroud hater but he is still too inconsistent and the big question is whether welbeck can push him in a way Walcott won't... Campbell has
done well and has moved ahead of Walcott and, ox for sure but there is still a question about how much more he can improve... Elneny is certainly an upgrade over arteta and flamini whether he will make it I don't know just hope that he
does but arguably wenger could have been more ambitious... That leaves a top quality striking option... There is no doubt that wenger deluded himself over the
summer and that needs to be corrected ASAP... Draxler dybala aube and
even griezman with a big enough big could have been prized in
summer... january not a good time for this but it is not difficult to find better options than Walcott ox or Campbell... All a question of whether wenger wants to win EPL
on his terms or wants to win this for the club
3 League titles / 6 Fa cups and constant champions league last 16odd years out of 19 also but no matter what anyone says his time as our coach has come to an end
even if we win the league which in fairness we have a great shot so going out of Europe could help us win the league for Wenger to leave
on a high like fergie
did... This has to be his last season in charge along with Stan the Conman... Money needs put into this squad to get it to the next level and a different direction because in all honesty when we beat Bayern they just
did nt take their chances like they
did last night and they already had a great squad and added to it in the
summer with Costa etc... we had a real chance this year if we had brought in more than Cech and that is Wengers fault!
Shame that we cant win it
even when Leicester is
on top, Chelsea is in bottom, manutd don't know what they are
doing with only city showing that little bit of challenge that too because they bought bruyne otamendi and sterling in
summer.
and
even worse what are ozil and sanchez thinking about for this season targets are, and if we
do nt meet them will they be
on out the door next
summer.
That would seem to suggest that Wenger will force Alexis to stay for the last year of his contract
even if he doesn't extend his current deal, which means that Arsenal could lose him
on a free transfer next
summer.
But one thing is sure, Sanchez would die if he doesn't play football, so if he is still around after august 31, he would surely play and help the team, so Wenger is sure a strike would not happen, and he would insist
on keeping him against all odds,
even if he walks for free next
summer.
One thing that
does seem pretty certain now is that Abraham will be moving
on this
summer,
even as Diego Costa faces doubts over his future at Stamford Bridge while last year's
summer signing Michy Batshuayi struggled to convince Conte.
I
do not know if he is
on the Arsenal transfer wish list of Arsene Wenger this
summer, but if he is not then he should be, because Pierre - Emerick Aubameyang is one of the hottest forwards in world football right now and
even if Arsenal
do somehow manage to persuade Alexis Sanchez to sign a new contract extension, the Gunners need more firepower if we are to stand any chance of reclaiming the Premier League title.
Plan B can be generated / created by different tactics using a multitude of personnel to achieve a plan B it could be welbeck it could be apkum it could be nakitiha
even ramsy can be a plan B Giroud is contracted with Arsenal he and Mr wenger have an understanding else he would have moved
on in the
summer so to just dismiss Giroud just like that is unfair and no good at all but if Giroud is turned
on by the idea it could be
done else it wont and I reckon it will drag
on and the press and co such in here will have the material to fill in the empty pages as seen with the alixes henrick move it took 20 odd days for it to move we
do not have 20 more days before the window shut down we only have a week to complete so time is not in our hand and if Dortmund want to keep auba they have the time in their hand all they can use delaying tactics to burn the time so the Arsenal must move swiftly if they see a need in strengthening the attacking force.
Peter Chec for 10 M last
summer and Elneny for 5 now
even smaller size team spent more!!!! Elneny is bought but sits
on the bench because super Flamini is starter???? So why
did you buy him in first place??? He said before that we buy only if they are better than our current squad!!!! Is he better or not?
It doesn't matter how much money a club has,
even the biggest and richest of the Premier League giants will be hoping to secure value - for - money in deals this
summer, with both Manchester City and Chelsea featuring
on our list of five bargain deals that could go through this
summer.
I said we should of bought Defoe last
summer as a makeshift striker in case of Injuries,
even at his age he will contribute goals, it's what he's always
done, he
even modelled himself
on Wrighty.
The Devils
did exactly that in
summer 2011 by taking
on the contract of a player they didn't want in order to move a contract they wanted
even less.
Even if Arsene Wenger
does respond to the frustration of Arsenal fans and sign another forward before the
summer transfer window slams shut, something which I have serious doubts about anyway, it will almost certainly not be
done in time to get said player up to speed with the Arsenal team in time to start against Watford
on Saturday.
Despite being quite pleased with the
summer transfer window just gone from an Arsenal point of view,
even though we are yet to see how the two late signings Lucas Perez and Shkodran Mustafi
do in the English Premier League, I was disappointed earlier in the
summer when the Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic who was available
on a free transfer ended up signing for our EPL rivals Manchester United rather than the Gunners.
Even though Arsene Wenger admitted that the Arsenal squad was a bit too big and
did a lot of his transfer work this
summer on thinning it down rather than spending money and buying some big name players like the fans were hoping for, we still have a strong squad because a club like ours needs one.
which is certainly not a slight
on the young french national player; like him or not, Sanchez has provided some real world - class performances for club and country in recent years... if you
do this move, you need to really clean house or face some serious consequences for the foreseeable future... half measures are rarely rewarded, that's how we got here... tear down the wall... we need to get rid of Giroud, not because he isn't a talented player, his skill - set simply doesn't make sense if we hope to maximize the offensive potential of a quick passing, one - touch scheme... we need to evolve, like Barcelona, who realized you needed to have clinical finishers or face a mind - numbing future of horizontal passes and largely ineffective crosses... Barca went and got Suarez,
even though they had Messi and Neymar
on the roster (just imagine the possibilities — another in the litany of Wenger «what ifs»)... we need to be as clinical in the boardroom as
on the pitch... accept nothing less or move
on... personally I would move
on from Welbeck, Giroud and Walcott,
even Ox if he isn't all in... I think the most intriguing player might be Perez, which runs counter to the thoughts in my head when he arrived late last
summer... we need a deep lying DM with quick feet and long ball potential, midfielders who can counter quickly
even when they are spread out and 4 or 5 players who know how to attack the lanes (kind of a cross between Barca, Dortmund and Monaco)... this is seriously an achievable goal, one that logically should have been achieved quite a few years ago...
did no one in the Arsenal organization see the financial restructuring of the football universe... think of the players we could have had but we weren't willing to cough up the dough only for those individuals to have their value double or triple within a 12 to 24 month period...
even if just from an investment perspective these «no deals» represent a failure of monumental proportions... only if you cared, of course
Hell we couldn't sign players before, we
did and got the FA cup twice, following
summer Wenger refused to sign and
even after giving his reasons we still bashing him, IF you're observant you'll see clubs don't chase players anymore now if they ain't young, Martial, De Bruyne, Sterling, Kane, James Rodriguez and
even Neymar were all signed at big amounts at young ages except Kane, but have you seen how much Spurs slapped
on his head??
An injury prone team with maybe 2 world class players and can't
even finish 4th at best yet Wenger is still insulting us loyal fans the man is completely out of touch and if he stays I can guarantee it will be a
summer like every
summer linked to every player in europe get some player we
do nt need get thumped
on the opening day then Wenger realizes we're a bit short after all and send the infamous Dick Law out to find a deadline day panic buy.
Sanchez got a real eye opener a couple of years back when Wenger only spent around # 10 million
on a 33yo keeper, that we didn't
even need, during the all important
summer transfer window.
Still, PSG clearly recognise his talent and have agreed to pay big money for the player this
summer,
even if United
do stand to make a loss of around # 15m
on the South American midfielder.
Staying in Merseyside Everton are splashing the cash still and that's after spending over 100 million this is a team who rarely challenges for top 4 and play in a run down 35,000 seater stadium and of course there's Arsenal and Arsene bloody Wenger
doing nothing but trying to recoup the 50 mil he spent
on Lacazette
even surpassing that and making money this
summer!
I think the Boss should seriously think
on what to
do with these 2 inconsistent Arsenal goal scorers in the
summer,
even at the long run Arsenal won the title and the duo are not a major players in the run - in to Arsenal winning the title which we are still expecting to happen.
But
even assuming that Arsenal
do not have to cope with the long list of injury problems that have scuppered the previous two attempts to win the Premier League, the manager will be looking to add quality in the
summer transfer window and perhaps work
on some of the things that have let us down this season.
There is no simple answer, but this is what I tell my players: I'm not going to penalize a girl who doesn't participate during the
summer — but in a program with players fighting for starting spots, and
even places
on the varsity roster, the girl who doesn't play is liable to get passed by.
Even after the academy graduate Francis Coquelin came back from his loan spell at Charlton and surprised us all with his fine form and combative performances, recording the best stats in the Premier League for a defensive midfielder, lots of Arsenal fans were calling
on the manager to go into the transfer market and spend some big money, which he
did this
summer to sign Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach.
There was
even a report the other day claiming that people at Arsenal were concerned that the German was not
even putting in the effort in training, and a Metro report explains that the reason for this is probably Ozil's anger at what he sees as the failure of Arsene Wenger in the transfer market this
summer, when the Frenchman
did break the club's spending record
on Lacazette but also made a net profit.
Until Arsene Wenger gets into «transfer mode» with Arsenal, although I suspect that the Frenchman and his transfer team have been working
on their
summer targets already, we
do not know for sure which players will be joining the Arsenal squad this
summer or
even which positions that the Frenchman is planning to strengthen.
Draxler is the most scouted player by arsenal,
even in the
summer arsenal had a meeting with the player and hope we get the deal
done because he will solve our problems
on the lw
