Single travellers are not normally permitted to share in Fiji resorts but they can and
do on liveaboards.

I spent one night in late February at this hotel following a week
on a
liveaboard dive trip in the Red Sea as I had
done in the previous year.
Once
on the
liveaboard boat, there was a lot less movement and I don't remember anyone feeling unwell.
One of the best things about being
on a
liveaboard is you have a one up
on all the other dive boats that
do day trips as you can either
do early morning dives or late afternoon dives to avoid the crowd.

liveaboard trip, it is possible to visit the Similan Islands

Add to this the WWII wreck diving possibilities, plus reef dives where bullets, shells and artillery from 1944 lie amid pristine fields of hard coral, and you can see why a week
on a
liveaboard in Palau is a «must
do» for so many scuba enthusiasts!
If you are embarking
on a
liveaboard cruise boat then you don't need the info in this section as transport to and from your boat will be arranged for you.
Liveaboards do not visit this area and dive resorts
on the atolls
do not tend to travel inland to visit Ambergris Caye, so the best way of diving here is by staying in a nearby resort
on Ambergris itself.

Peninsular Malaysia - Tioman Island - If time or travel plans
do not permit travelling to Sabah, there are some great short dive trip options
on the Malaysian peninsula which will allow you to still get your
liveaboard diving «fix».
You can also
do it over in the Similan Islands
on the west coast, but it's more expensive as you spend 4 days
on a
liveaboard boat — a real adventure.
First time
doing 4 dives a day
on a
liveaboard, had a great time.

You can
do day trips by speedboat but the best way to see them is
on a
liveaboard.
If you look at what was going
on in Indonesia, Raja Ampat had all this momentum and obviously I didn't want to go to a place like Raja where there were a lot of
liveaboards, a lot of resorts.
Then in 2005, it was actually
on my 28th birthday, I happened to meet Andrew in Bangkok and it was my open water instructor who had been telling me about him since 1999 and trying to get us together and for whatever reason it didn't work but in 2005 we finally met and then he invited me to come and visit him
on this
liveaboard and it ended up our third date, was like four weeks sailing around in Raja Ampat.
After
doing many dive trips
on boats, here's my tried and tested
liveaboard packing list.
If you want to maximise your underwater time
on the reefs and you don't mind sleeping out at sea, there is also one
liveaboard boat operating in the area.
I would recommend this trip to those who don't want to pay top dollar for a Phuket
liveaboard but still want some comforts like a private bathroom
on a non crowded boat.
(Alternatively, you can leave from Cairns and
do three days
on a
liveaboard with Spirit of Freedom and end up at Lizard Island and spend a night in remote luxury.)
Based
on guest who have already
done a
liveaboard journey to Cocos island, they said that the rooms are comfortably big and not small as what you will be expecting.
Even some of the dive sites that the day boats
do visit are better
on a
liveaboard because of the travel time.
