breeder that knows going back 4 to 5 generations and if you want to train the dog for protection you should
do professional training, you train the dog with the trainer offering guidance, find a trainer that offers protection training it will most likely be more expensive but you have to make sure the dog is of sound temperament and has basic obedience down, which you can contact a the trainer before getting the dog to talk to them about what qualities to look for in a puppy.
The ordinance
did exempted certain animals, including those that have competed in shows or sporting competitions, guide dogs, animals used by police agencies, and those belonging to
professional breeders.
Groups like ours exist precisely because there are too many dogs being bred by people who are not reputable,
professional breeders or because owners don't spay / neuter their dogs and allow unplanned breedings to take place.

do it); my online training mentors in crime, I mean, um, um (Patty Aguirre, Cheryl Bloom, Karen Johnson Lawrence, Jo Butler, Carol Hall, Micha Michlewicz, Lynn Shrove and many more); my family, who financially backed this questionable startup and took him on countless walks and dog park trips; all of the local people who helped socialize and puppy sit him; and of course his entire online fan club, who made me laugh and supported me when I was feeling down about training and life in general.
Currently most novice
breeders and exhibitors
do not believe they can successfully compete and win against the
professional handlers, experienced
breeders and seasoned competitors.
If you want to show your English Setter at dog shows, you will need help from an instructor or your
breeder to learn how to groom your dog for the show ring and to present your dog skillfully, or you can hire a
professional handler to
do these things for you.
Your Lakeland's
breeder can show you how to strip the coat, or you can find a
professional groomer who knows how to
do it (not all
do).
There are some
breeders who
do not like these colours, and we respect their opinions, but we ask that they remain
professional in presenting those opinions to us.
Even if you are not
professional, you will be able to notice the unprofessional job the
breeder has already
done or shown.
Kennels allow
professional dog
breeders do just that.
But color doesn't impact temperament (even though some claim it
does)-- it's more important that potential owners thoroughly research the breed and actively seek out a reliable,
professional breeder.
If the
breeder does not have any training recommendations or resources, then you may not be dealing with a
professional.

do the research to find answers without you!
While I'm certainly not a
professional breeder or anything, I have
done a bit of research about my dogs to ensure that I was taking care of them in the best way possible.

They
do not dedicate their careers to understanding just one or two breeds, as
professional breeders do.
A
professional breeder likely would have
done so, and as proof it is routine for
breeders to provide photocopies of both parents» most recent OFA ECR exam results; these exams should have been
done within one year of the breeding of the parents.
