I'm so boring... I don't
do any seasonal decorating.
In my home that space has become our vintage oak sideboard, I love switching and moving things around as my mood changes, it has become the perfect spot for me to express my creativity and
do my seasonal decorating.

do not believe in witches, but autumn and Halloween is one of the few times out of the year that I go a step further in
decorating for the season... Below our entry shelf, we have our handy entry bench, which really comes in handy in the late fall and winter for putting on our boots.

Decorating a front porch or stoop for Fall may be one of my favorite
seasonal things to
do.
Finding accessories for
seasonal updates that you would normally find in nature are a favorite
decorating past time of mine and this little marble bird on a gold stand doesn't disappoint (also available in white).
It doesn't actually get cold here, in fact it's in the high 70 ′ s here today; but I like to pretend we have seasons so I can switch up my home decor occasionally (I'm not the only one that looks forward to
seasonal decorating, am I?)
I'm getting away from
seasonal decorating, but I
do like small touches -
seasonal candles, kitchen towels,
seasonal plates in my glass front cabinets, etc..
I wish more
decorating sites were like this one and addressed the need to
do less
seasonal / themed
decorating:)
It's taking me longer to transition my decor scheme for Fall than it should have; however after
doing the living room and foyer remodels I have been so indecisive when it comes to
seasonal decorating.
Speaking of
seasonal updates, one thing I have been striving to
do over the years is to think ahead for outdoor holiday
decorating!
Just goes to show that
seasonal decorating doesn't have to be time intensive or complicated.
In the past, I've
done a lot of
seasonal decorating for fall and holiday, but not as much for spring.
Don't see much
seasonal decorating in the UK either, just for Christmas really.
Paying for all of our expenses, including grad school loans for two people, on one income
does not leave a lot of room in the budget for
seasonal decorating.
I
do a lot of wreaths for
seasonal decorating but I think this Christmas I may expand and make some more «home» items.
As we've made big changes to this house over the years, changes like painting the cabinets and installing new flooring and purchasing new furniture, I've found that when it comes to
seasonal decorating, I so love the backdrop that I've created I don't feel like I need to «frou - frou» it up all that much.
As I said in a recent blog post, I'm never going back to stressful
seasonal decorating and I know my new mantra is going to be put to the test with Christmas on it's way but we can
do this together friends!
Here in the UK we don't
decorate for different seasons as a rule, only Christmas, but I have definately been inspried by your home to take on your tradition of
seasonal decorating it sounds like fun.
I'm always on the lookout for easy ideas for centerpieces and
seasonal decorating tips that don't take weeks or a big budget to put together.
For the past several years I've been
decorating small rental places so my
seasonal decor stash doesn't quite cover an entire house.
Since I don't technically have a mantle I
decorate in our house, I use my buffet in our dining room to create
seasonal vignettes.
I don't go too crazy with fall
decorating, but like to add
seasonal florals and pumpkins.
Christmas
decorating doesn't need to feature angels and mistletoe; with a little imagination you can add
seasonal cheer to an industrial space and keep your cool credentials.
