you do see a shark, try not to splash around like crazy and swim away in a frenzy, you then appear to be injured prey and are more likely to attract the shark's attention.

OGDEN — Students from Horace Mann Elementary School took a field trip to

Don't think that you won't
see anything special here, as there are usually lots of leopard
sharks and sting rays.
Do they think that because you can't
see any further than the glow of your light there might be a big man - eating
shark waiting for you or you might drift off and get lost in the blue?
Catch some rays on the deck, have a snack in the cabin, snorkel on the world's second largest barrier reef,
see the impressive whale
shark (in season) or
do some deep sea fishing
Other things that can be
done in the area: Cage diving to
see the
sharks in Mosselbay, Bungi juming or a bridge swing at the gouritz bridge.
I'm not even sure if there are tours that just go solely to
Shark Ray Alley but if you
see one that
does I recommend you avoid it and opt for a tour that includes a lengthy dive at the Hol Chan Marine Reserve.
I just
did a couple of
shark dives in Fiji and
saw tawny nurse
sharks (not grey), bull
sharks, lemon
sharks, grey reef, silvertips, white and black tips.
Over the course of today you'll go to three different snorkelling sites on the Great Barrier Reef, where you'll
see sights such as clownfish, sea turtles, humphead Maori wrasse (an enormous, large - lipped fish that's very friendly), soft and hard corals in colours such as turquoise, neon pink, soft purple and bright orange, schools of parrot fish, reef crabs, barracudas, painted lobsters, Gorgonian fans, giant clams and maybe even a reef
shark or two - don't worry, they're harmless.
We
did see a whale
shark which was pretty special!
Nurse
sharks around Ambergris Caye are known to be rather inquisitive so don't be alarmed to
see them coming up really close.
Okay, if you insist on spending money, check out the thrilling Stratosphere tower,
Shark Reefs at Mandalay Bay, Adventure Dome at Circus Circus, or
see one of the best shows in Vegas — Cirque
du Soleil.
Our night dive was
done in the same area, on a site named Romeo, a plateau that tends to be an excellent spot to
see the Epaulette
Shark endemic from Raja Ampat.
We didn't
see any of the big guys (
sharks, mantas) but that was okay.
For the night dive we chose Mioskon, is the one with greater chance to
see Walking
Sharks again... And looks like our Dive Masters
did it again!!!! We
saw two Walking
Sharks more!!!!
It was another critter spotting mission and it
did nt disappoint: Pygmy Squid, Morey eel, Lobster, Turtle and of course our fantastic Walking
Shark were some of the highlights
seen.
Back on board we had dinner and Urik
did a presentation on the nocturnal Epaulette
Shark, which all the divers had a chance to
see and photograph on the dive.
